We are officially in the 3rd week of 2026.
Everywhere you look, people have sorted their “What” lists. What job they want next. What salary they want to hit. What car they want to drive. What status they want to claim this year.
There is nothing wrong with having a “What” list. But here is the hard truth of the Nigerian professional landscape: Outcomes are fickle.
The economy can fluctuate. Policies can change overnight. Companies can restructure. If your entire sense of professional worth is tied to your outcomes, you are building your house on sand. When the storm comes—and in this part of the world, storms are a feature, not a bug—you won’t just lose your job; you’ll lose your sense of self.
This is why we need to talk about The Identity Compound.
One of the most profound things our Co-Founder, Oluwatobi Adekunle, shared with us is that he has realised in 2025 is that purpose is not a destination you reach; it is an identity you inhabit.
In finance, compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. In your career, Identity is the eighth wonder. When you shift your focus from “What do I want to achieve?” to “Who am I becoming in the process?”, you are building a professional foundation that is recession-proof.
Why? Because outcomes are external. Identity is internal.
If you are a “Manager” (Outcome) and you lose the role, you are nobody.
If you are a “Strategic Problem Solver with a heart for youth empowerment” (Identity), and you lose the role, you simply take your talent elsewhere. Your value stays intact.
Before you finalise that plan, I want to hold you accountable to your 2026 strategy right now. Look at your goals and put them through this filter:
The Stability Check: If the specific goal you’re chasing disappeared tomorrow due to things outside your control, would you still have a reason to get out of bed?
The Growth Check: Is this goal pushing you to develop a skill and a character that stays with you forever, or is it just a temporary trophy?
The Depth Check: Are you choosing speed over depth? Fast success is often shallow. Deep success—success tied to identity—takes longer to build but is impossible to tear down.
When your drive is tied to identity, you don’t quit easily. You don’t get distracted by what everyone else is doing on LinkedIn. You choose growth over speed because you know that identity compounds.
Let’s be direct: The reason most people’s “New Year’s Resolutions” fail by February is that they were trying to change their outcomes without changing their engine.
You cannot sustain a Purpose Drive if you are still identified with Survival. You have to consciously choose who you are becoming.
This is exactly what we are going to do this weekend
This isn’t a motivational speech. It’s a strategic intervention. Our Founder, Joan, and Co-Founders, Promise and Oluwatobi, have spent the last few months refining a framework that helps you strip away the “Default Settings” and build a 2026 GamePlan that actually lasts.
They are going to teach you how to:
Identify your core professional design (Who you are).
Align that design with high-impact opportunities (What you do).
Build a 90-day execution roadmap that doesn’t rely on “luck” or “vibes.”
The year 2026 is coming whether you have a plan or not. You can enter it as a passenger of your “Default Settings,” or you can enter it as the architect of your identity.
Join the room where the work happens.
The link is below. The seat is yours. The choice is now.
Stop chasing outcomes. Start building an identity that compounds.
